Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Bethany Veterans Plaza?
The Bethany Veterans Plaza is a community-led project to create a permanent public space honoring veterans who have served our country. It will serve as both a place of remembrance and a gathering space for reflection, education, and civic pride.
The goal is not just a monument—but a meaningful, accessible space designed to connect generations.
Why is this project important?
Veterans represent sacrifice, duty, and service. A dedicated plaza:
- Honors those who served.
- Provides a permanent site for ceremonies (Memorial Day, Veterans Day).
- Educates younger generations about military service.
- Strengthens community identity and shared values.
This project reflects our belief that gratitude should be visible, lasting, and local.
What will the plaza include?
- A central veterans monument or memorial feature
- Engraved recognition elements
- Flags representing military branches
- Landscaping and seating
- ADA-accessible pathways
- Lighting for safety and evening visibility
How is the project being funded?

The design includes:
The goal is both artistic excellence and meaningful public presence.
- Bronze figures
